GAME OVERVIEW
One Must Fall 2 (refered to here as "OMF2") is the sequel to One Must Fall: 2097 (which may also be referred to as OMF1, or OMF 2097).  It is currently in development by Diversions Entertainmnet. Headed by the same programmer who coded OMF 2097, Rob Elam (formerly of Epic Megagames),  OMF2 will be a three dimentional fighting game for Windows 95/NT.  Below is a more detailed description of the various aspects of OMF2.
.
ENGINE (GRAPHICS ETC)

OMF2 will be hardware only game meaning that if you dont have a 3D card you wont be able to run the game, it is currently planned to take advantage of the following API's: OpenGL, Direct3D, RRedLine, and Glide, Since there is no software support the game will run at a minimum of 16bit (around 65000) colours.  To run OMF2 you will likely need a P200 or higher processor.  OMF2 should run in either Windows '95/'98 or Windows NT, it will not run in DOS like 2097 did.

Other Features:
- Estimates are about 700-750 polygons per character
- Will use dynamic lighting, and morphing
- The engine may possibly the ability to use more polys if your system can handle it.
- If you know how to program you will be able to create new fighters, arenas etc through DLL's, a scripting language may also be included to modify bots etc with.

.
GAMEPLAY

Here is a list of known gameplay related features for OMF2, it should be noted that these may change, or may not be implimented for other reasons.

- ability to play with 3-7 other players over a LAN or the internet at the sametime
- quick tournament mode
- a training mode
- hand to hand combat (no weapons)
- quick tournament mode (replacement for the story mode sort of)
- no story mode like there was in OMF 2097, there will only be tournament and VS.
- unlike OMF 2097 there will be more than two buttons for the controls
- more projectiles than in omf2097
- more advanced color selection interface (easier to  do paint jobs on the bots)

The way scraps and destructions work
"Well, I'm likely to change the way scraps and destructions work a little.  I'm planning to make them more than just controller motions done
after a match, instead one might require you to start a combo and do the destructin inside that, much like a killer instinct ultimate combo
thingie.  This is just one example, but the idea is that the destructions would take more skill and "setup" than they did in OMF1.  So, to
answer your question the controller actions required will likely be much simpler but will require more skill to pull off because of the setup
that may be required.  There will likely be 2 to 4 scraps and destructs per fighter, so I'm sure experienced players will be able to pull off at
least one of them." -Rob Elam
